It’s been a long time in the history of the automobile, since any of the motor vehicles received such respect and demand on the Indian road. A car which holds a position to be the carrier of elite members of army and government officials. Yes, I am talking about Ambassador a first Indian car that holds the ground of Indian roads till date and still, it amazes the eyes of people with its beauty and charisma.
Ambassador was manufactured by Hindustan Motors of India from 1958 to 2014. This car was built on Morris oxford series iii model which was first built by Morris motors limited at Cowley Oxford in the United Kingdom from 1956 to 1959.
On 11th Feb 2017, Hindustan Motors signed an agreement with PSA group for the sale of the Ambassador brand; it included trademarks, for Rs 80 Crore. Though being a British origin car it’s fondly called the king of the Indian roads.
Features of The Great Ambassador truly stands along with the latest cars of now, amazing buttoned control of power windows and the air conditioning system even beats the latest technology cars, it actually comes with luxury aided technologies, there exists a very amazing fact about The Ambassador that whenever it was owned by any ministry of the Indian government it was not officially registered and as a result of that whenever it was Auctioned, it was handed over as a First-Hand Car to the individual.
This car is truly a king worth mentioning which wins the heart of people with its performance and look even today no matter which hi-tech car you buy in today’s time, but whenever an Ambassador will run on the road every eye will turn towards it with amazement.
