Tesla boss Elon Musk said on Wednesday the company’s electric vehicles can now be bought using Bitcoin and the alternative will be accessible outside the United States not long from now.
“You can now purchase a Tesla with bitcoin,” he tweeted on Wednesday, adding that Bitcoin paid to Tesla won’t be changed over into traditional currency.

Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly.

The electric-car maker had last month said it bought $1.5 billion (generally Rs.10,920 crores) of Bitcoin and would soon acknowledge it as a type of installment for cars, sending the price of the world’s most popular cryptocurrency soaring.
Musk, who has been advancing cryptocurrencies through his Twitter account, had last month reprimanded customary cash, saying when it “has a negative genuine interest, just a simpleton wouldn’t look elsewhere.”
He had said that the distinction with cash made it “adequately adventurous” for the S&P 500 company to hold the cryptocurrency.
Following Tesla’s investment in Bitcoin, several companies, including Uber and Twitter had shared their views on the cryptocurrency.
Uber Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi said the ride-hailing company discussed and “immediately dismissed” investing in Bitcoin. Notwithstanding, he added that Uber might actually acknowledge the cryptocurrency as an installment.

Twitter had said before it was still uncertain in holding Bitcoin, while General Motors said it will assess whether Bitcoin can be acknowledged as an installment for its vehicles.
Tesla as of late added “Technoking of Tesla” to Musk’s list of true titles.
