The competition will be held in India and it will be held in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. The IPL 2020 was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) because of the Covid.

The main match of the IPL will be played in Chennai on April 9 between reigning champs Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The IPL last will be played on May 30 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s biggest cricket stadium. Playoff matches will likewise be played in Ahmedabad.

Out of 56 matches in the IPL league, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru will have 10 matches each, while Ahmedabad and Delhi will have eight matches each. This time there will be no home ground for any group. All groups will play four out of six spots in the league stage.
There will be 11 twofold headers in the IPL, where six groups will play three matches in the early evening and two groups will play two matches in the early evening. The matches will begin at 3:30 pm and the night matches will begin at 7:30 pm.
The underlying matches of the IPL will be held without onlookers and the choice to remember the observers for the competition will be taken in the later stages.
